Our parish family of Immaculate Conception extends our sincere condolences on the passing of your loved one.
The death of our sisters and brothers in Christ is a significant event for us as a Church community. It is a time to mourn our loss and to celebrate God’s gift of life and new life in Jesus Christ, His Son.
As you make the arrangements for Christian Burial, you are invited to take an active role in planning the Mass.
In the links below, you will find a helpful printable worksheet and reading selections. This will be a helpful tool as you begin selecting the readings, intersessions, and music for the liturgy.
You will select the First Reading from the Old Testament (A) (*New Testament during the Easter Season) , the Second Reading from the New Testament (B), one Gospel reading (C) and Intercessory Prayers (D) which you feel expresses the life and faith of your loved one or your family.
You may also wish to select 3 or 4 hymns from the list of music.
Please note: Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide the option of a “Meal of Mercy”, at this time.
We hope you find this online resource helpful. Someone from our Bereavement Ministry will reach out to you to assist with the details.
